Transport and Mobility Leuven participated at the ATM Research and Development Seminar to present the paper "Split incentive problem in the uptake of new ATM technology"

Saskia van der Loo, from Transport and Mobility Leuven, one of ITACA’s consortium members, presented the paper Split incentive problem in the uptake of new ATM technology at the ATM Research and Development Seminar celebrated online in September 2021.

The paper, written by Saskia van der Loo, Christophe Heyndrickx, and Eef Delhaye, presents an economic model developed for the identification of levers and barriers in technology adoption in ATM. The work focuses on analysing different challenges due to the nature of ATM technologies, such as the network characteristics and split incentives. The key findings of the study were used to quantitatively analyse ATM technology uptake mechanisms identified in the ITACA project.
